State Budget Update/Fiscal Realities

03/01/2021

The global health pandemic created an economic crisis for states across the country, including New York State.  What will be the impact for our schools and what will be the impact at the bargaining table?  Will New York State honor the funding commitments to school districts that were included in the 2020-21 state budget and what was just proposed for schools in the 2021-22 Executive Budget?  Staff from NYSUT’s Research & Educational Services Department will share insights on these topics and other emerging school finance issues.
